"El Jefe" waist overalls are made from an original Monsivais & Co. design inspired by vintage denim pants of the 1880s through the 1900s.
Made using a limited 17.5 oz. Japanese Hank Dyed Indigo Selvedge Denim from Tokushima Artisans using the natural Indigofera plant. This process of dying cloth goes back centuries and produces a deep indigo textured denim.
Designed, Cut, and sewn in small batches in my Los Angeles sewing studio on antique sewing machines.
